The people behind Montgomery’s first trampoline park have had a spring in their step for the past few weeks as they prepared to open the doors.
The grand opening for Rockin’ Jump in the Atlanta Crossing shopping center across from Eastdale Mall is noon Feb. 5, and they’re expecting a big crowd. They’ve set up all the attractions and hired and trained 65 full-time and part-time employees – and put up a sign on the door to keep people from walking in while they did it.
Co-owner Paul Register said people should go online to rockinjump.com to fill out a waiver and reserve jump time before arriving to make sure they’re not turned away because the place is full. You can book parties at the same site, and Register said the party rooms were almost fully booked for February weekends.
Register and the employees buzzed around the place Monday, sorting out the final details and testing out the trampolines. There’s a floor-to-ceiling rock wall, trampoline dodge ball, a gladiator pit and more. Cushy massage chairs line the walkways, under big-screen TVs. “People are going to love this,” Register said.
The 5544 Atlanta Highway park will be open 3 to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 3 to 9 p.m. on Fridays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays. The phone number is 239-2587.
